For the past four years, Dr. Booker has presented a 2-hour lecture for our first year, Doctor of Physical Therapy students. Dr. Booker provides content on critical thinking, diversity, and group dynamics. Her lecture is engaging, and she uses active learning strategies that promote students’ understanding of how groups work and how they can be more successful working in a group. During the pandemic, Dr. Booker was able to adapt her content to an online format and preserve her engaging delivery. Her lecture is always well received by students. It doesn’t take a village to raise a DPT. It takes... dedicated individuals like Dr. Booker.
